The Rising Stars Program, which is designed to empower the next generation of underrepresented youth by providing opportunities for sustainable careers in construction, is proud to participate at the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) Workforce Development Summit.
This virtual event, which takes place September 3-5, presents leading-edge tools, resources and practices to support owners, developers, investors, builders and other green building professionals as they work to achieve the triple bottom line.
On Thursday, September 5, at 12 p.m. ET, Rising Stars Founding Director David Hutchinson, and program partners Browning the Green Space Deputy Director Alisha Harrington and Julius Education Vice President Shakir Cannon-Moye, will present Reimagining Workforce Development: Agency and Innovation Lead the Way. During this presentation, they will discuss the challenges faced to bring youth to the aging construction industry and share how the Rising Stars Program has been making a difference.
