Meet Jeff Chase, a contractor in Eugene, Oregon. He and his company, Chase Roofing & Contracting Inc., are one of the few coatings contractors in the area. This is due to the fact that the unique weather of their area means there’s only “a narrow window of about four months to apply coatings.” Jeff explained to Everest Systems in an interview that they have survived multiple decades in this constricted workspace by balancing it with other work, “We have other businesses, we farm also and so we have some orchards that we maintain in the wintertime.”
But coatings are still his primary job and he has learned to optimize the four months of application time available to him. He explained a key to this, saying, “Having a very high-quality product makes the difference.” This is why his company has been using Everest Products for the last four years. Previous products the company has used have not lasted nearly as long, while Everest lasts for their entire ten-year warranty period.
Moreover, Everest wants to work with Jeff and other contractors in a way other providers haven’t had the flexibility to. Jeff explained, “In the Northwest we have a lot of algae on the roof, and we found if we tint it lightly it helps resist it. Everest has worked with this and gotten our colors and stuff to work with what we need it for in the Northwest, where we apply our products.” This makes all the difference for Jeff, his crew and his clients.
