CoatingsCoffeeShop™ welcomes AkzoNobel!

CCS Welcomes Akzonobel
April 5, 2024 at 3:00 a.m.

AkzoNobel, a global paint supplier, embraces a future of eco-friendly innovation and leadership in paints and coatings.

CoatingsCoffeeShop™, the place where the coatings industry meets to get product information, training and news on all things coatings, is pleased to welcome AkzoNobel into its community of contractors.

AkzoNobel is a Dutch multinational company that provides eco-friendly and advanced paints and coatings essential for residential, agricultural and commercial applications. Operating for more than two centuries in over 150 countries, they are one of the most sustainable paint companies in the global market. As innovators in the paint and coatings industries, they are committed to science-based objectives and actively working to solve global challenges to safeguard future generations.

With their motto “People. Planet. Plant,” they strive to consistently innovate while leading the roofing and coating industry in sustainability to empower people and reduce their impact on the planet.

Their products are tested outdoors in some of the harshest conditions to ensure they will perform and last when exposed to the elements. They have more than 40,000 panels that are tested in South Florida as part of their extensive real-world exposure program. These panels are monitored often to check on the performance of the product and to better understand how it performs in different weather conditions. By doing this, in addition to other testing programs, AkzoNobel can ensure that their products are reliable and easy to apply so contractors can avoid costly issues and adjustments on the job.

Some of the products in AkzoNobel’s portfolio of coil and extrusion coatings include:

  • CERAM-A-STAR® - This silicone-modified polyester coil coating system is durable, weather resistant and is proven to perform, ensuring building owners not only can look forward to lasting protection, but lasting color as well.
  • TRINAR® - A high-performance fluoropolymer coating, TRINAR contains 70% or more PVDF resin, which provides the finest metal finish available when combined with other proprietary resins.
  • POLYDURE® - An economical and reliable coating for building products, POLYDURE is a versatile product that can be used on appliances, steel doors, commercial and residential HVAC units and even ceiling grids and furniture. This high-quality polyester paint system can satisfy unique specifications.

AkzoNobel stands as a leader in the paint and coating industries. By focusing on reducing environmental impact and enhancing the longevity and efficiency of their products, AkzoNobel is committed to their customers, communities and the environment.

CoatingsCoffeeShop® is proud to welcome AkzoNobel!
