Diamonds are a girl's best friend, which is also true for National Women in Roofing (NWIR) in terms of sponsors. NWIR Diamond Sponsors each donate $25,000 to ensure the success and continued growth of NWIR.
A national organization, NWIR is dedicated to educating and empowering women in the roofing industry. This volunteer-based organization is staffed by independent contractors and consultants. NWIR strives to bring the roofing industry to a new level of excellence through their support and promotion of women’s contributions to the future of the industry.
Overall, NWIR has more than 30 sponsors. There are four different levels of sponsorship available including: Diamond, Platinum, Gold, and Silver. These levels are determined by monetary contributions, and there is a limit of five companies that can be Diamond Sponsors. The current Diamond Sponsors are: Tremco Roofing and Building Maintenance, SRS Distribution Inc., TAMKO, Owens Corning, Beacon Roofing Supply, Johns Manville. Not only do these companies support the mission and vision of NWIR, but they are true leaders of diversity in roofing.
“In order to keep membership costs low for individual members, we depend on sponsors to help fund the operating budget of the association. We truly couldn’t do it without them and their support as an important indication of how these companies see the role of women in the roofing industry,” according to Heidi Ellsworth and Shari Carlozzi, NWIR Past Chair and Sponsorship Liaisons.
Sponsors help fund the organization, in addition to program initiatives on topics related to their four pillars of: mentoring, networking, education, and recruiting. “The focus of NWIR is to advance the careers of women in roofing who work from the rooftop to the boardroom and to promote excellence in the roofing industry as a whole.” Sponsors are crucial to helping NWIR fulfill their goals.
While National Women in Roofing has experienced a lot of growth since its inception in 2016, they are eager to achieve even more. Support from the dedicated women in the organization, outstanding industry leaders, and their sponsors, will allow NWIR to expand their reach and continue their work.
