ICBEST 2020 Conference Postponed

Amidst COVID-19 closures and travel bans, the ICBEST 2020 Conference will be held in 2022.

After much consideration, the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC) and co-host, the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) have made the difficult decision to postpone the ICBEST 2020 Conference to 2022.

This decision comes amidst continued COVID-19 closures and travel bans. As we continue to operate during unprecedented times, we must make decisions that we would not normally consider so close to an event date.

While more information regarding ICBEST 2022 will be forthcoming, we are excited to share with you that the IIBEC educational track that would have been presented in Vancouver will be presented virtually as the IIBEC 2020 Virtual Canadian Building Enclosure Symposium (CBES). This virtual event will be held September 22-24, 2020 and not only be a three-day event of outstanding education vetted by the IIBEC Canadian Symposium Committee, but also a virtual trade show!

An added benefit of providing this event virtually is that the education and trade show will be available online a full 33 days (through October 25), allowing attendees more time to visit each exhibit booth and to absorb all the educational courses.

The “new normal” has truly challenged each of us to modify how we work, live and play. We will share more information about the event in the near future. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
