RCAW’s Excellence in Roofing Awards Program is now open for submissions

RCAW’s Excellence in Roofing Awards Program is now open for submissions
January 6, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.

This awards program provides a unique platform for roofing professionals to highlight their exceptional craftsmanship, elevate their business visibility and share their passion for the industry.

The Roofing Contractors Association of Washington (RCAW) is pleased to announce that submissions are now open for the prestigious 2024 Excellence in Roofing Awards Program where roofing contractors throughout Washington state are invited to showcase their finest low and steep-slope roofing projects completed in the past year by submitting their entries no later than February 14, 2025!

“This awards program provides a unique platform for roofing professionals to highlight their exceptional craftsmanship, elevate their business visibility and share their passion for the industry,” said Justin Shirley, RCAW president.

Eligibility and entry

  • Open exclusively to RCAW members in good standing.
  • Contractors may submit up to 2 entries, both steep, low slope or a combination of both.
  • Projects must have been completed between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2024.

Submissions must include a detailed project description, material used, highlighting unique challenges and solutions. It must also have high-quality photographs and/or video showcasing the project's scope and beauty before and after along with an explanation of how the project aligns with the judging criteria.

Judging criteria

RCAW will evaluate each submission based on the following:

Project challenges

  • Innovative solutions to overcome technical, operational or environmental hurdles.
  • Demonstration of durability, reliability and overall system integrity.

Distinction

  • Unique characteristics or craftsmanship setting the project apart.
  • Extraordinary quality or approach to design and installation.

Aesthetic excellence

  • Visual appeal and design intricacy.
  • Contribution to the overall aesthetic of the building or neighborhood.

Awards and recognition

Award recipients will receive a certificate of excellence from RCAW; media exposure via statewide trade publications, RCAW’s website and social channelsl; and marketing materials to boost industry authority.

The top three projects of Low Slope and Steep Slope will receive the following prizes.

Steep Slope

  • Gold: $1,000
  • Silver: $750
  • Bronze: $500

Low Slope

  • Gold: $1,000
  • Silver: $750
  • Bronze: $500

Photo and submission usage terms

By submitting entries, participants grant RCAW the right to use project descriptions, photographs and related materials for marketing, promotional and educational purposes across various platforms, including but not limited to RCAW’s website, social media channels and trade publications. Participants affirm that all submitted materials are their original work or that they have obtained the necessary permissions for RCAW to use these materials.

RCAW will make reasonable efforts to credit participants for submitted photographs used in any promotional or marketing materials.

Submission process and deadline

All entries must be submitted online at the RCAW website at www.RCAW.com, by February 14. 2025.
