By Karen L. Edwards, RCS Editor.
Human interest stories are always popular on RCS and that proved true once again with our top story being about Rebecca Welsh, a regional business manager for Weatherproofing Technologies, Inc. (WTI), and her mission to try to recruit other women into the industry. She knows what a great career working in the roofing industry can be for women.
We weren’t at all surprised to see hurricane data and loss projections by Core Logic tracking closely behind Rebecca as a top story. Since that ran in early October, we have had several more storms. The project profile of the six-story building getting a hurricane-proof roof generated lots of interest as well since many of our readers will be out there making repairs to damaged buildings and roofs.
Rounding out our top five was the information on the NRCA Town Hall for a state-of-the-industry check in while in the midst of this pandemic and on a lighter note, there was a lot of interest in Owens Corning’s 2021 Color of the Year: Aged Copper.
