Installer candidates need to act soon and apply no later than January 21 to take advantage of this opportunity. Contact Denise Malcolm, NRCA’s manager of certification administration, at 847.493.7560, 800.323.9545 ext. 7560, or email dmalcolm@nrca.net if you have any questions.
NRCA has been committed to the success and professionalism of the roofing industry for over 120 years and nothing to date shows that commitment as much as the ProCertification Program that certifies rooftop professionals who excel in roofing installations.
ProCertification is a way to measure the skills of an already experienced and proficient worker. “ProCertification is a measuring stick. It’s a standard by which great roofing skills can be measured against,” according to Jared Ribble, the current Director of Qualified Trainer and ProCertification programs for NRCA. This certification instills worker pride and promotes professionalism.
“We want roofing employees to have successful, long-lasting careers. As business owners look at the benefits of certifying their workforce, they quickly realize it can dramatically and positively affect company success, culture, retention and recruitment,” Jared shares. To date, there are more than 200 installers in over 20 states.
This program is a commitment. An application must be filled out and then workers complete a computer-based knowledge test. The final portion of the program is a hands-on performance exam. Typically contractors are matched with a qualified assessor who conducts the exam, but with this offer from NRCA, those applying can take their test at the IRE, for free. Once all sections are completed and passed, the certification is earned. Workers carry a physical card and a digital badge with a unique certification number.
Having this certification helps, “...Raise the perception of your company, to separate that worker out from the pack, to give that worker pride, to give your consumers, your customers, a layer of confidence and protection,” Jared explains. This is an amazing opportunity to not only take the exam for free, but to earn free passes to the trade show. This is an offer you won’t want to pass up!
Don’t miss out, sign up now for your free ProCertification exam and free IRE trade show tickets!
