Meet Marc Allen, a true water enthusiast who grew up in Belize Central America, where his love for the ocean first began. As a diver, angler, power boater, and sailor, you could say that big blue is his happy place. But it wasn't just his passion for the sea that was instilled in him during his time in Central America. His parents also taught him the value of hard work, which became a necessary part of life as they lived off the grid. 

When Marc and his family moved to the US, his father started A&R Maintenance which specialized in cleaning and maintenance – and Marc was his first employee. It was there that he became an expert in water remediation and structural drying. Marc also learned the importance of putting customers first. He recognized that word of mouth travels quickly and providing customers with a memorable experience was the key to success. This philosophy has followed Marc throughout his career. He went on to become a trainer at Coit and started their content restoration division before starting his own restoration company. 

Most commercial water remediation jobs stem from roof leaks. However, instead of simply fixing the damage caused by leaks, Marc saw an opportunity to prevent them from happening in the first place. And, Shark Commercial Roofing Systems (SCRS) was born. With improved waterproofing technology, Marc is now able to offer his clients protection from water damage, in addition to (instead of just?) restoration services. Since its launch, SCRS has made several innovative improvements to roofing technology. One of the most significant enhancements is offering coating technology with high reflectivity which, in addition to leak protection, creates a more energy-efficient workplace for his clients. 

When not working, Marc loves to travel and explore the color and beauty of foreign lands and people. He also enjoys indulging in street food and experimenting in the kitchen, as well as sipping fine wine and bourbon with his wife. Marc's passion for the ocean and dedication to providing exceptional customer experiences has made him a respected name in the industry.
