Ray began his roofing career with our firm in 1985 as a sheet metal apprentice right out of high school. Ray moved up the ranks and within three years was a sheet metal foreman supervising sheet metal crews. Ray took a small hiatus from Miles and worked with another roofing firm for one year and a half as the department manager in charge of the sheet metal division. In 1999 he returned to Miles as an estimator and project manager.
Ray now oversees the commercial roofing division, and manages projects ranging from $5000 to over $1,000,000. In 2007 he relocated to the Charlottesville, Va area and heads up our repair division and commercial roofing division for the central Virginia area.
Ray has furthered his education by completing the sheet metal apprentice school at Norfolk Vocational Technical Center in 1992, and graduating from the Roofing Industry Education Institute (RIEI) & CAD Institute in 1994.
