Elevate your roofing business with this 2024 Benchmark Report

Leap Elevate your roofing business with this 2024 Benchmark Report
November 3, 2024 at 9:00 a.m.

By Jesse Sanchez.

Insightful data and actionable strategies set to transform the roofing industry.

In this Read, Listen, Watch (RLW)™ webinar, host Heidi J. Ellsworth sat down with Leap’s, Katy Pusch, to discuss Leap’s 2024 Home Improvement and Remodeling Benchmark Report. This report is packed with data-driven insights tailored to help contractors elevate their business in a rapidly changing landscape.

The discussion covered crucial findings on key industry challenges, with a focus on tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), optimizing customer communication and integrating effective technology to meet rising consumer expectations. According to Katy, the research aimed to understand contractors' top priorities, such as “boosting profit margins, improving business processes, and enhancing the customer experience.” Leap’s inaugural benchmark report offers a roadmap for roofing professionals seeking sustainable growth by implementing practical, high-impact strategies.

A standout insight was the increasing importance of a robust digital presence and the evolving role of technology in customer satisfaction. While past perceptions suggested the roofing industry was resistant to change, Katy revealed that a majority now see technology as a “catalyst for growth,” helping contractors not only improve efficiency but also strengthen customer trust through seamless communication. She stated, “The technology is different, whether it’s roofing technology or software technology, but some of these principles apply…ultimately the most important aspect of this technology [is] the ease of implementation and the quality of the service and support that you’re getting along with it.”

Leap’s 2024 report isn’t just about adopting technology; it also represents the importance of carefully structured business processes. For instance, 85% of survey respondents see technology as critical to maintaining a professional image and ensuring business longevity. Such tech adoption not only boosts internal operations but also enhances external brand perception, helping roofing companies meet modern customer expectations.
