Sprayfoam 2025 showcases industry growth

This versatile solution is being used in unique applications not only throughout the building envelope but also to bring nature to life.

The CoatingsCoffeeShop® (CCS) Crew recently attended the Sprayfoam 2025 show in Daytona Beach, Florida and were able to witness firsthand the growth in this industry. Our third year in attendance, we were able to bring our sound stage to the event for the first time, thanks to our sponsor Everest Systems. In interviews with our partners and other exhibitors, we learned about new products, trends and initiatives taking place within the industry. Record growth

The show had a record number of attendees and exhibitors according to SPFA Executive Director Lisa Smith. She joined us on the sound stage to give updates on what is happening with SPFA.

Insights from the field

Our very own Heidi J. Ellsworth moderated a contractor panel, sponsored by General Coatings, during the conference that featured Luke Nolan from Central Coating Company, Inc., Gary Harvey from Wedge Roofing and Anthony Flett from U.S. Coating Specialists, LLC who talked about what they are seeing in the industry including challenges and opportunities. Many manufacturers were in attendance to gain insight and feedback from the installers about the current state of the industry and understand what their needs are.  

Award-winning projects

The CCS Crew attended the awards luncheon during the show, which showcased the incredible work being done in the industry. Unique installations included a bourbon distillery in Louisville, Kentucky that used the power of sprayfoam to help the bourbon age faster without losing taste to an outdoor animal habitat display the used sprayfoam to shape the rocks and natural forms in the exhibition. We were lucky enough to talk to Brazos Urethane to learn more about their project installing the sprayfoam roofing system on the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, a project that took two years to complete with crews working seven days a week.
