It’s time to grab your shades and hit the beach for the 2025 annual SprayFoam Convention and Expo! Hosted in Daytona Beach, Florida by the Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance (SPFA), this four-day trade show is the largest event dedicated solely to all things spray polyurethane foam in the United States. Make sure to stop by and say hi to us at The Coffee Shops (we’ll be in booth #142)! A bunch of our industry friends will also be there, like Carlisle Construction Materials, Everest Systems, Gaco, Johns Manville and Progressive Materials. Check out the full exhibitor map to see where their booths are!
From general education sessions to networking opportunities, there is so much to be seen and experienced at this conference. If you are a professional who works with spray foam, you won’t want to be anywhere else from February 9 - 12, 2025.
This year, there will be a wide variety of education opportunities tailored to gaining you and your team SPF certifications.
The field exam experience: Hosted on February 8 and 9, this is a VIP guided tour that helps you understand what the SPF PCP Field Exams are, how they are conducted and why they are important. There is no fee to attend, but space is limited and registration is required.
Written exam testing hours: Throughout the conference (February 9-11) the testing room for PCP written exams will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
FREE field exams: If you are looking to take your PCP field exam, there will be opportunities available on February 8 and 9 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and on February 10 from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This exam is a requirement for getting the Master Installer Certification and usually requires fees to be paid (for the field examiner’s time and processing). This is a great opportunity to take your exam for free (both insulation and roofing are offered)! Space is limited, so registration is required. Further, you must enroll in the PCP to take either the Written or Field Exams. You must have at least 100,000 SqFt or BF of hands on the gun spraying experience to take the field exams.
Exam preparatory courses: Not feeling ready to jump straight into one of the exams but still want to work towards your certification? Make plans to attend one of the conference’s prep events! On February 9 there will be prep courses for those looking for SPF Assistant, SPF Insulation Master Installer or SPF Roofing Master Installer certifications. The following day, February 10, will have the courses for the SPF Insulation Installer, SPF Insulation Project Manager, SPF Roofing Installer and SPF Roofing Project Manager certifications.
On Tuesday, February 11, and Wednesday, February 12, there will be a wide variety of breakout sessions available for attending. You can learn everything from business and legal advice to up-to-date knowledge about foam safety and quality. Personally, we are very excited for the RoofersCoffeeShop panel hosted by our President Heidi J. Ellsworth! As a part of breakout three, the panel will happen on Wednesday, February 12 from 9:15 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Make sure to stop by to say hi and to learn more about how spray foam is used in roofing and other specialty applications. Check out the whole schedule of breakout sessions online to plan the rest of your schedule!
While not specifically focused on the spray foam industry, these events are a great way to network and build community with your fellow professionals!

SPFA's National Industry Excellence (NIE) awards luncheon: Hosted on Tuesday, February 11 from 12:00 p.m. - 1:45 p.m., this luncheon honors innovative and trail-blazing products in the industry. This is the 19th annual time this award competition has been hosted. Make sure to come and experience the excitement as the runners-up and winners of seven different categories are announced! These are all incredible projects that have been judged by an independent panel and by SPFA members for quality of work, uniqueness of project, speed of application, special safety considerations and applicator’s ability to solve unique challenges. Make sure to register in advance for this luncheon, as there will not be onsite registrations available.
Contractor only working lunch session: Last but not least is the ever-popular contractor luncheon. Hosted on Wednesday, February 12, this is an excellent space for networking. The meal will start at 12:15 p.m. and run until 1:45 p.m. You must be registered for the conference to attend (you can RSVP for this specific event in the normal registration process).
