SRS Distribution Inc. (“SRS”) and SRS Raise the Roof Foundation (“Raise the Roof”) announced today their Founders Circle multi-year commitment totaling $1,000,000 for the new National Medal of Honor Museum to be built in Arlington, Texas. This museum will create a place of reverence to honor the more than 3,500 Medal of Honor recipients whose incredible courage and personal risk and sacrifice helped protect our freedom and democracy.
Chris Cassidy, President and CEO, of the National Medal of Honor Foundation and Charlotte Jones, Foundation Chair, said “Our board and staff are tasked with the solemn and patriotic duty of building a museum that will preserve the legacy of those awarded the Medal of Honor, tell their stories to the next generation of Americans and inspire leadership, valor and love of country. We are deeply grateful to SRS and their Raise the Roof Foundation for their generosity to help ensure the success of this uniquely American endeavor.”
“Our commitment to veterans and our military runs strong and deep at SRS and Raise the Roof! It is only fitting that we share our support for this inspirational project during Military Appreciation Month. We are honored to live out our mission pillar to ‘Give Back’ as a partner for such an amazing new museum for our area, state and nation. The National Medal of Honor Museum is a tremendous way to pay homage to these American heroes. We look forward to the opening of this exceptional facility near our corporate hometown in North Texas and sharing it with our customers, employees, supporters and friends.” said Dan Tinker, President and CEO, SRS Distribution and SRS Raise the Roof Foundation Board President.
